Vinvurderinger Moccagatta Barbaresco Vigneto Cole 1996 Wine Spectator - 95 point Fantastic. Nebbiolo doesn´t get much fuller, more opulent or silky than this ripe and classy Barbaresco. Dark but not black in color. It focuses on an intriguing blend of roses, chestnut, tar, black cherry, wet earth, and vanilla. Healthy dose of tannins on finish. It´s extremely ripe, with prune, plum and floral aromas, and is fullbodied, with chewy tannins and a long, long finish. Give it time. Best after 2005 (450 cases produced). Moccagatta Barbaresco Bric Balin 1997 Wine Spectator - 92 point Mouthpuckering, with aromas of black truffle, berry and cherry.Medium- to full-bodied, with very chewy tannins and a long, astringent finish. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a medium, slightly lean finish. Needs a tad more fruit on the center palate to be outstanding. Drink now. (300 cases produced).
